Callidus Group recently surprised the children of the Akany Avoko Ambohidratrimo centre in Antananarivo, Madagascar, with a container full of bicycles. The special donation was made possible by fellow Pon Holdings company Royal Dutch Gazelle. With the second hand bicycles the children are offered greater mobility and entertainment in their daily lives.
While the container was settled in the centre of the courtyard, the children gathered around it and couldn’t wait to find out what was inside. With great enthusiasm the container was opened and the kids didn’t waste any time to jump on their bikes. After a little help the kids quickly learned how to ride on their bikes.
Having a facility in Madagascar, Callidus is fully engaged in the development of the local community by supporting the Akany Avoko Ambohidratrimo centre. The centre protects and educates minors in danger for nearly half a century and is supported by the Association for the Preservation and Protection of Children (ASPE).
Both the president of the ASPE and the kids thanked Callidus with a kind letter and these great photos.
