Two members of Callidus New Caledonia, Julie and Benoit participated in a run over 2 days, 37.5 km the 1st day + 30.5 km the 2nd up the Kone mountain.
This big event was organised by an health association.
The aim of the run was to make the Caledonian population aware of the health problems such as alcohol, sexual diseases, obesity, heart diseases, diabetes which are the most common problems met in New Cal and more in the tribes outside Noumea And how much sport could help in fighting these problems.
The protection of the environment is also part of the objectives of this association. They want this event to participate in spreading a positive message in the tribes that are crossed during the run as well as the tribes that will welcome the participants during the nights.
Julie and Benoit finished very well -11th out of 50 teams in their category and ran for 12h20 minutes over the 2 days.
