In-house thermal spray and robotics division

We operate the only full automated in-house thermal spray and robotics division in Australia dedicated to valve components. The facility includes fully automatic Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS), High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) systems, and a metallurgical laboratory. Our specialists are employed in developing coatings to extend the life and performance of components against wear, high temperature oxidation and corrosion.

Having these services and expertise in-house ensures that internal components can be turned around rapidly without the delay of remote third party services, freight times or manufacturers lead times. This results in significant savings on inventory holdings and turnaround times. Also, the ability of HVOF to give a high build up allows for the recovery of more internal components.

The following coatings can be provided through Atmospheric Plasma Spray:

  • Titanium Dioxide
  • Chrome Oxide
  • Tantalum
  • Aluminium Oxide

High Velocity Oxy-Fuel:

  • Tungsten Carbide
  • Chrome Carbide
  • Nano Titanium Dioxide
