Callidus’ engineering team developed bespoke tooling for a stem clamp to help a client save cost and time in an LNG facility shutdown.
To ensure positive isolation of a pipeline and avoid depressurising a large pipe line, our engineers designed a stem clamp to provide a fail-safe for downstream maintenance works. The claim design has to balance multiple factors to ensure it functions as required and does not impair any existing components. This includes actuator and process pressure forces, coefficient of friction, clamping loads, mechanical structures and precision fit.
All components were designed, manufactured and tested at our facilities to meet the tight deadline requirements.
